Hi I took my son to an appoinment the other day which meant me waiting in a family area for an hour which I did not mind because I thought there would be something for me to do whilst waiting.
There were lots of other mums there and they had all brought books and lady mags to read which being a man I had not thought to bring anything.
I then realised that all the posters up on the wall were intended for mums or women so thought that I would try some of the many reading material leaflets and so on laying around the room. To my disapointment most of the material was aimed at women/mums and I found one thing for dads. As I started reading I realised it was not for dads but actually for mums telling them how to get dads involved in caring for their children more and doing things like taking them to appointments etc...
I am sure I am not the only dad to take his son to an appointment and not the only dad who gets involved taking part in looking after him as I have male friends who do the same.
Am I right to feel that it was a bit sexist there or am I being a soppy old man haha
Are there any other dads who have experienced the same kind of thing?
