Homestart Thanet

Hello,

About 6 years ago I was a single mum who didnt go out much and did not know many people. I was very shy and struggled to realise that I was doing ok as a new parent.

My health visitor refered me to Homestart and they came to meet with me then matched me up with a volunteer. He was fab and really helped me to gain confidence in being a mum and just being me! He supported me when I felt down and eventually I got to a point where I did not need a homestart volunteer any more.

Since then I have grown in confidence and I thank everyone from the homestart team for their support and friendship.

I'm now due my second baby and not as half worried as I was last time round.
